Acrylic Paint, Charcoal Portraits

The majority of my personal work has been portraits. I’m a people watcher and find that humans are the most interesting subjects. You can tell so much about a person just from looking at them as they walk past you sitting on a park bench.

I’ve always been an artist. It’s been my constant through my childhood, helping me to cope with difficult feelings and traumatic experiences. As an adult I’ve worked on public murals, done commissions for the city and ran a painting party business for 7 years. While raising children, my artwork was placed on the back burner. I’ve only just started working again doing portraits in charcoal.
